1. Who we are

2. What we collect

What you give us

When you use "Request a quote" on a product page, or email or call us, we collect the details you share:

• Your name and email address
• Your phone number and delivery ZIP code, if you enter them
• The product you asked about, the amount you need, and any message you write

You can browse the whole site without giving us any of this. We do not take payments on this website.

What our systems record automatically

• Standard server logs: your IP address, browser type, the pages requested and the time. We use them to keep the site secure and working.
• A small note in your browser that remembers your cookie choice. See our Cookie Policy.

We do not run advertising trackers or analytics on this site today. If that changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent first.

3. How we use it

• To answer your quote or availability request and follow up about it
• To prepare, deliver and invoice an order if you decide to buy
• To keep a record of who we have quoted, so you do not have to repeat yourself
• To protect the site from spam and abuse
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations

We do not send marketing email or text messages unless you ask us to. Every email we send that is not a direct reply includes a way to unsubscribe.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We use a few service providers to run the business, and they handle your information only on our behalf:

• Website hosting and database (Railway)
• Email delivery (Postmark), so our replies reach you
• Our customer contact system, where we keep track of quote requests and follow-ups
• Accounting and invoicing software (QuickBooks), if you become a customer
• Freight carriers, if we deliver to you, who need a name, address and phone number

We may also disclose information when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.

5. How long we keep it

We keep quote requests and related messages for about 365 days after our last contact, and longer where we need them for invoices, taxes or a dispute. Records we are required to keep by law are kept for as long as the law says.

6. Your choices and rights

You can ask us to tell you what we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Residents of Texas, California and other states with privacy laws have these rights by law, and we offer them to everyone. To make a request, email admin@tedforddistributors.com with "Privacy request" in the subject line. We may need to confirm it is you before we act. We will answer within the time the law allows, and we will not treat you differently for asking.

7. Security

The site uses encrypted connections (HTTPS), and access to our records is limited to the people who need it. No system is perfectly secure, so please do not send us passwords or card numbers by email or in the quote form.

8. Children

This site is for adults and contractors. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you think a child has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.

9. Changes

If we change this policy we will post the new version here and change the date at the top.
